FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long will our KeyDot last?
- Based on current usage history, KeyDot labels are expected to last one to two years depending on usage. The radial design of the KeyDot means there are no corners to lift up.
- The Data Matrix barcode is also highly redundant – even if up to 60% of the barcode is destroyed, the KeyDot is still readable.
- The material that the KeyDot is made from is designed to withstand harsh environmental and temperature conditions. If a KeyDot needs to be replaced at some point in the future, anyone can do it at any convenient time in a matter of seconds.
Is the KeyDot safe for our surgical instruments?
Yes. A licensed independent medical testing laboratory has scientifically evaluated the KeyDot and found that there are no patient safety risks and that the instrument surfaces under the KeyDot are completely sterilized during processing.
